Terms and Conditions

Restrictions

  • No pets are allowed
  • No smoking in the house
  • No children under 12 years of age (unless all rooms are reserved by one group)


Physical Limitations/Handicapped Accessibility

All guests are advised that The Cheesemaker’s Inn’s guest rooms are on the second floor and are accessed by a staircase. In addition, the first floor and second floors of the inn are not wheelchair accessible at this time. Therefore, reservations are not recommended for guests who are physically challenged by ascending a flight of stairs.

Check-In and Check-Out
We want to personally welcome you when you arrive. Let us know if you need flexibility.

Check In Time
Between 4:00-6:00 p.m. unless otherwise coordinated.

Check Out Time
11:00 a.m. unless otherwise coordinated.

Deposits
For reservations made directly on our website or via phone, a first-night deposit plus lodging tax is required to secure your reservation and will be charged to the Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card provided. If booking your reservation less than 14 days before your arrival, the entire reservation amount will be charged to your credit card.

The remainder of your balance is due at check-in and can be paid by credit card, check or cash. Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been successfully processed. An automatic confirmation message (including a unique reservation number) will be sent by our reservation system to the email you provide when payment is successful. Guests electing self check-in or arriving outside of the normal check-in hours will have the remaining balance charged the day the self check-in information is provided.

Standard Rate = $179.99/night + tax

Contract Rates
We will be happy to negotiate contract rates for extended stays and/or combinations of lodging, food and services offered at The Cheesemaker’s Inn. Please see the “Extended Stay Savings”, “Peak Periods”, and “Discounts” topics for more information on the factors influencing various rates which are displayed when making inquiries.

Methods of payment accepted are:

We appreciate payment by cash or check, but we also happily accept these credit cards for your convenience:

  • American Express

If you would like to pre-pay your reservation, we would be happy to send you an email invoice for convenient online payment.

Extended Stay Savings
The Cheesemaker’s Inn offers multi-day discounts for stays of four days or more. Please call for availability and contract pricing options. Multi-day savings do not apply when any day of the reservation falls within Peak Periods.

Discounts
The following discounts may be applied to your reservation:

  • Active Duty Military
  • Central Parents
  • Corporate Travelers
  • Returning Guests

Any discounts will be applied as a percentage of the rates listed above and applied after the reservation is made. Only one discount or promotion will be applied to each reservation (no ‘stacking’). No discounts will be extended to reservations made within 48 hours of arrival.

These discounts do not apply when any day of the reservation dates falls within our Peak Periods.

Tulip Festival and Peak Period Reservations
The Red Rock Lake area experiences in influx of visitors during these events, which are considered our Peak Periods:

  • Pella’s Annual Tulip Festival, held the first Thursday, Friday & Saturday in May
  • Knoxville National Sprint Car Races and “Race Week”, held annually in mid-August, Mon-Sat
  • Central College arrival, homecoming, and graduation weekends, Fri-Sun
  • Some Federal Holidays

No discounts will be applied during these peak periods. Reservations may be held in reserve (blacked out) until 90 days before the Peak Period begins. Before this time, reservation requests will be accepted and added to a waiting list.

Waiting Lists
When reservations are not immediately available online, contact us to be added to a waiting list. Should an opening come available, we will offer the room to guests on the waiting list before making them available to the public.

Factors considered in extending reservations to the wait list include returning guest status, length of request, number of rooms requested and date added to the waiting list.

Guests on the waiting list will be allowed a limited time period to respond before we extend the offer to the general public.

Rollaway Available
Two twin-size rollaways are available. The rollaway beds can be added to Anne’s, Gina’s and Val’s Rooms for an additional $35/night +tax.

Cancellation Policy

  • All reservations must be secured with a deposit or credit card.  Reservations are not confirmed until you are provided with a unique reservation number.
  • Decreasing your length of stay or moving your reservation is considered a cancellation.  Adjusted reservations are based upon availability at time of re-booking and remain subject to the cancellation policy below.  Any new rates in effect at time of re-booking will be applied.
  • >30 days in advance: You may request a refund for cancellations made 31 or more days prior to check-in.  A $20 processing fee will be applied to any refund.
  • <30 days in advance: When cancellations occur 30 or less days prior to check-in, the value of the deposit will be applied to a gift certificate valid for one year.
  • <7 days in advance: When cancellations occur 7 or less days prior to check-in, no credit of your deposit will be offered.
  • Exception: When reservations for peak periods (listed above), such as Tulip Time and Knoxville Nationals, are cancelled within 30 days of check-in, no credit of your deposit will be offered.
  • Payments made in excess of the required deposit amount will be refunded, but are subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
