All guests are advised that The Cheesemaker’s Inn’s guest rooms are on the second floor and are accessed by a staircase. In addition, the first floor and second floors of the inn are not wheelchair accessible at this time.
Therefore, reservations are not recommended for guests physically challenged by ascending a flight of stairs.

We may request a non-refundable 50% deposit in advance of any reservation.
Deposits for reservations of the entire inn, reservations during peak periods or long-term reservations require a minimum deposit of your first night’s stay.
Deposits are due 30 days in advance (or at time of reservation when your booking is made less than 30 days in advance).
When cancellations are made two or more weeks (14 days) in advance of arrival, your deposit will be credited to a subsequent reservation within the fiscal year.
When cancellations occur within two weeks of the reservation, no credit of your deposit will be offered.
Decreasing length of stay or moving your reservation is considered a cancellation. Adjusted reservations are based upon availability and subject to the cancellation policy above. New reservation rates will be applied.
Only payments made in excess of the required deposit amount will be refunded.

The Cheesemaker’s Inn offers multi-day discounts for stays of three days or more.

Multi-day savings do not apply when any day of the reservation falls within Peak Periods.
Discounts for extended stays and off season stays are pre-programmed into our reservation system and are displayed in the price shown when checking availability. In addition, the following discounts may apply to your reservation:
Any discounts will be applied as a percentage of the rates listed above. Only one discount or promotion will be applied to each reservation (no ‘stacking’). No discounts will be extended to reservations made within 48 hours of arrival. To apply the discount during the online reservation process, contact us for the correct discount code.
These discounts do not apply when any day of the reservation falls within Peak Periods.
The Red Rock Lake area experiences in influx of visitors during these events, which are considered our Peak Periods:
No discounts will be applied during these peak periods. During these periods, a premium is charged for stays of less than three nights as follows:
Reservations may not be made available until 90 days before the Peak Period begins. Before this time, reservation requests will be accepted and added to a waiting list. At approximately 90 days before the Peak Period, reservations will be extended to those on the waiting list.
As a courtesy to the Tulip Festival royalty, reservations for the following year’s Tulip Festival are initially held in reserve for the queen and her court’s out-of-town guests.
After the Tulip Queen nomination and selection process concludes by Thanksgiving each year, the queen and court are allowed several weeks to make reservations on the same terms as the waiting list. Any remaining reservations are then extended to the waiting list (usually around New Year’s).
When reservations are not immediately available, contact us to be added to a waiting list. Should an opening come available later, we will offer the room to guests on the waiting list before making them available online.
Factors considered in extending reservations to the wait list include returning guest status, length of request, number of rooms requested and date added to the waiting list.
Guests on the waiting list will be allowed two days to respond before we extend the offer to the next guest on the priority list.
Two twin-size rollaways are available. The rollaway beds can be added to Anne’s, Gina’s and Val’s Rooms for an additional $35/night +tax.
